DAFNE is one of the structured education courses provided within the NHS. It is recommended that all people with T1 attend one of these courses, to learn skills for adjusting insulin doses. It has lots of evidence - for improving the ups and the downs as well as giving more confidence. This site gives you more info about the course, but you will need to ask locally what is available.

The home of one of the most revered education courses for people with Type 1 Diabetes. Provides information about the course, for PWDs, HCPs and CCG Commissioners. For people with Type 1 who haven't yet attended a DAFNE course the 'What Is DAFNE?' page and the PDF linked on the home page should give you enough information to decide whether you feel it's a course for you.
