Children with Diabetes is a massive international advocacy and support group originating from the USA and this site is the home of the UK group. CWD UK is very embedded with other groups and organisations such as the Families With Diabetes National Network. Large conferences known as Friends For Life are held where speakers from far and wide come to talk, 2015's saw great speakers such as Gavin Griffiths, Joe Solowiejczyk, Gary Scheiner, Katharine Barnard and Weston Nordgren (of the Nightscout Foundation). Many of the parents involved in running parts of CWD UK and its conferences are great advocates for Type 1 Diabetes and you'll see them pop up in many other groups.

Children with Diabetes Facebook Group (over 2,000 members). One of my favourite mixed-gender diabetes groups on Facebook. There is great factual information, brilliant support and rarely an argument, which I'm sure you'll appreciate is rare within Facebook groups. If I ever need to ask any generic Diabetes questions I will ask here first.
