NHS Choices general information on EHIC and travel insurance. No specific information on diabetes, but useful for T1 travellers to understand healthcare options in different countries.

Limited remit but clear description of EHIC and insurance value.

Whilst not written specificially for people with Type 1 this page provides some good information about travel abroad, including which countries do and do not have agreements with the UK for healthcare; I was surprised the Channel Islands (currently) do not. I found this page a useful place to find links to other topics, such as Altitude Sickness and Insect Bites, which I'm researching for next year's trip.
