Amber discusses her slow realisation that T1DM has produced disorder eating in her. In order to keep an eye on your diabetes, she is more aware than others of what she eats daily which is creating a complicated relationship with food.

Thoughtful blog about how T1D has led to disordered eating. It is an important area to be aware of with T1D. Arguably, it is very difficult not to have some of these traits when food has to become such a heavily managed aspect of living with the condition. An awareness and willingness to talk about this is an important step in monitoring.
